Biography:
Musical mysticism, the aesthetics of ancient Russian lamentation and author music often inspired by Russian, Belorussian, and Ukrainian folk songs, as well as experiments with electronic music in the quartet’s new project. The primordial Slavic roots of the works performed with balalaika, domra, button accordion, and double bass, combining it with modern musical styles, open to the listeners a whole layer of Slavic culture. Quartet simply take the viewer by the hand and with the power of sound carry him along into the world of rituals and songs, chilling stories skillfully intertwined with modern styles and genres (post-folk, punk-folk, minimalism, neoclassical).

Ivan Kuznetsov – balalaika, piano
Laureate of All-Russian and international competitions, winner of the first All-Russian music competition, creator of the Russian Renaissance quartet-Grand Prize at the M-Prize competition (USA, Michigan, 2017) -Artist of the month according to the magazine “Musical America’s” (March 2018) , participant of the largest international festivals in Russia, USA, Italy and many others.
Olga Egorova – domra, mandolin
Laureate of all-Russian and international competitions. Composer and arranger. Member of the ensembles La musica e da chiesa, Russian Rhapsody, Artbene Duo. He is the author of scripts for theater performances, his own musical compositions, music for cartoons and films. Explores the possibilities of mandolin outside of classical music. Experiments in creating a unique sound texture using loop station and other guitar effects, creating one women show.
Iosif Purits – button accordion
Laureate of more than 30 international competitions in the USA, Germany, Great Britain. Winner of the first All-Russian music competition. The first ever classical musician “BBC Introducing” (2015, London); Musician of the Year (2012) according to the national newspaper Musical Review. Performs at the most prestigious concert venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London), UNESKO (Paris), Konzerthaus (Vienna).
Alexander Muravyev – double bass
Author and performer of his own musical compositions for double bass and bass guitar solo. His music sounds in the cartoon “The Artist and the Hooligans” (directed by I. Maksimov, 2016), in the documentary “Fenchenko. Life is a thrill ”(directed by M. Melnik, 2020). Laureate and Grand Prix winner of the most prestigious all-Russian and international music competitions.
